Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Cutter Canvas, operated by Charles Ostman, a sole proprietor based in Wheaton, Illinois. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What the service is
Cutter Canvas lets you design cookie cutters, export them as STL files for 3D printing, generate design concepts with AI, and plan cookie decorating. Cutter Canvas no longer sells physical cutters or accepts custom printing requests.
Accounts
Signing in with Google is optional and required only for AI generation, saving designs, and viewing the shared gallery. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, including attempts to obtain free credits through multiple accounts.
Credits
- One credit buys one AI image generation.
- New accounts with a Google-verified email address receive a one-time grant of 10 free credits. It is granted once per Google account and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. We may withhold it from accounts that appear to be created to farm the grant.
- If a generation fails, the credit is returned to your balance automatically.
- Purchased credits do not expire. They are non-transferable and, except as described in our Shipping & Refunds policy, non-refundable.
- We may change credit prices; changes do not affect credits you already hold.
Your content and designs
You keep ownership of the outlines, prompts, images, and designs you create or upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to store them, process them through our AI provider, and display them back to you. If you mark a design public, you also grant us the right to display it to other users in the shared gallery; you can make it private again at any time.
Do not upload anything you do not have the rights to, and do not use the service to reproduce third-party trademarks or copyrighted characters for commercial sale. You are responsible for the rights in what you upload and in what you sell.
AI-generated results
AI output is generated automatically and is not reviewed by us. It may be inaccurate, unexpected, or similar to output produced for someone else. We make no promise that a generated shape is printable, food-appropriate, or free of third-party rights, and you are responsible for checking a design before you print, bake, or sell with it.
Existing physical orders
New physical cutter and custom printing orders are closed. Existing orders remain available for fulfillment, tracking and support under their original order details; they are not cancelled by this change. Baking calculator and proposal estimates
Dough weights, icing quantities, batch counts, and any figures in a generated client proposal are estimates from geometry and typical recipe densities. Real results vary with your recipe, thickness, and technique. Check them against your own bake before quoting a customer.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, or authentication.
- Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its content.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.
Availability
The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features that depend on third-party providers can fail or change. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or spoiled ingredients. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and consumer rights in your jurisdiction are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be handled in the state and federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois.
