No. You can design cutters, plan icing and use the digital tools without a printer. Printing an exported STL requires access to a 3D printer. Cutter Canvas no longer sells physical cutters or accepts custom printing requests.

SVG import, built-in shapes, manual design, exact photo tracing, and STL or full-kit ZIP export are free without an account. Exact tracing sends your image to our server and needs a connection. AI photo cleanup, theme ideas, icing designs and AI stamp/fondant artwork require sign-in and credits; the cost is shown before generation. Yes. Choose and size a shape in the Cutter Studio, then use Step 3 to add an embossing stamp, fondant cutters, or both. A stamp presses the design into dough; fondant cutters cut the individual parts for an assembled decoration. If you started with an uploaded image and have not chosen separate artwork, that image becomes the default design. You can replace it with your own artwork or drawing; optional AI design generation costs 1 credit. Follow the full kit guide.

No. Cutter Canvas no longer accepts new physical cutter, stamp, or custom printing orders. Digital design and STL downloads remain available. For an existing order, check its status or contact support.

No. The cutter-only STL contains the cutter. After preparing extras, use “Download full kit (.zip)” in the studio’s Step 4 to get separate STL files for the cutter and its stamp, handle or fondant pieces. Switching the preview between Cutter, Fondant, Embosser and Whole set changes the view, not which files are downloaded. See the SVG-to-STL guide or photo-to-cutter guide for your starting format.

You get a ready-to-print binary STL generated in your browser. Plain-vector SVG import, built-in shape editing, and STL export run locally. Optional Trace SVG appearance renders a PNG and uploads it for free tracing without AI; review is required before applying the result. Exact photo tracing sends your image to our server; AI tools also send prompts and images to Google’s Gemini API. When you sign in, recent design history syncs to your account, including history already on this device. Cloud saves upload the designs and images needed for that feature. Existing physical order records remain available for fulfillment and support. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Existing orders continue through fulfillment and support under their original order details. Track your order from Order status; contact support@cuttercanvas.com for help. Closing new physical sales does not cancel an existing order.

They’re estimates from your cutter’s geometry and typical recipe densities. Real results vary with your recipe, thickness, and technique — check them against your own bake before quoting a customer. See our dough & icing calculator guide for how the numbers are computed.
